Viti Levu Fiji’s main island with the capital Suva.
Vanua Levu The second largest island is located north of Viti Levu.
Taveuni The third largest island is located east of Vanua Levu on the 180th parallel. Medidian (International Date Line) and has the nickname “Garden Island”.
Kadavu – island south of Viti Levu.
Yasawa Islands This northwestern group of islands is perfect for island hopping.
Nananu-i-Ra Island
Mamanuca Islands These partly tiny islands west of Viti Levu are very popular with backpackers.

Climate: The climate in Fiji is tropical, with little seasonal variation. Tropical cyclones (the South Pacific version of hurricanes) can occur from November through January.
