The landlocked country of Zimbabwe is located in southern Africa. In the north, the Zambezi River forms a natural border with Zambia. The mighty river is dammed by a 500-meter-wide dam to form the 280-kilometer-long Kariba Reservoir.
Best time to visit: The country can basically be visited all year round. In the winter of the country from May to August (i.e. our summer) the savannah shows its most beautiful side, and the national parks are open from November to March in contrast to the rainy season.
