von 16.05.2015 bis 28.05.2015
Jamaica – beach vacation as a package tour
Jamaica – discovery vacation for individual travelers
We combined both and experienced many interesting things.
Welcome to Jamaica!
They hear this everywhere they go on the Caribbean island.
Jamaicans are friendly and open to tourists. They like to ask where they are from, how long they are staying and if they like Jamaica.
Sun, Rasta, rum and reggae around the clock.
There is a tropical climate all year round on the third largest island in the Caribbean.
Harry Belafonte ingratiatingly sang about Jamaica as “Island in the sun”.
Temperatures rise to 30 degrees during the day. Light winds alleviate the sultriness. Especially on the coasts it is pleasant.
During the night it cools down only a little.
The sea is deep blue and clear and calm on the white beaches in the sheltered bays.
The island is rich in vegetation and water. In the interior, which is characterized by wild landscapes, you will find the Blue Mountains with the highest mountain, the Blue Mountain Peak (2,256m).
Interesting for most vacationers are the coasts of Jamaica. Many hotels are located on the north coast in Montego Bay,
Runanway Bay and in Ochos Rios.
The longest beach with white sand is 11 km long and is located in Negril on the west coast. A popular vacation destination for guests, Negril offers a wide range of accommodations, shopping and entertainment options.
Discover Jamaica:
The easiest way to explore the island is by rental car. This allows you to explore the landscapes, population and important sights at your own pace.
We have circumnavigated the island and can gladly give tips and important information about it.
Some major highlights of Jamaica are waiting for the vacationers.
Honeymoon under Caribbean sun
Jamaica has a wide offer for newlyweds.
Sandals hotels offer a wide selection for this purpose. You can book a bungalow right on the beach with your own butler. It embellishes the vacation with great service. Starting with unpacking suitcases, serving drinks and food all day, reserving the sunbeds on the beach incl. cooler, it is there for all wishes.
Conclusion can be a romantic dinner for two under the stars.
Bob Marley – Reggae Star and Legend
In the capital Kingston, with a population of around 1 million, the great star Bob Marley is remembered in his former home. He made reggae music famous all over the world. Among other things, records, stage decorations and palakte of his tours are exhibited.
Dunns River Falls – waterfalls for swimming
Near Ochos Rios is the main sight of Jamaica, the Dunns River Falls. Wet fun they experience at the waterfalls. Wearing non-slip shoes, they climb 300 meters up the waterfalls, which foam down and flow into the sea.
Food and drink Jamaican
As they drive through the villages, they keep coming across signs that read jerk food. The Jamaican specialty consists of spicy marinated pork and chicken, and is sizzled and smoked in discarded tin barrels.
For breakfast, the locals eat “ackee and saltfish” (boiled ackee fruit with small chunks of stockfish).
A glass of rum at the end is not to be missed.
“Yaman” is the favorite word of Jamaicans and is used for anything and everything, denoting “easy going” under the Caribbean sun.
